Abaddon + Snapfire

Why this works

Trying to burst down Snapfire often fails when Abaddon is nearby. His Aphotic Shield provides a crucial dispel, letting her escape the initial lockdown and turn with her own spells. This isn't just about defense, though. The slow from Abaddon's Curse of Avernus makes enemies much easier to hit, helping Snapfire land everything from Scatterblast to the final impacts of Mortimer Kisses. This combination of a save and a setup means that trying to isolate Snapfire can backfire badly, as the target gets bogged down and can't escape.

During the laning stage, this pairing creates consistent pressure and kill threat. Later in the game, Abaddon allows Snapfire to play more aggressively than she normally could. She can use Firesnap Cookie on herself or an ally to jump forward, knowing Abaddon's ultimate or a well-timed shield will bail her out if the fight turns. Opponents are forced into a difficult choice: focusing Abaddon lets Snapfire unload her damage freely, but going on Snapfire first risks getting turned on. The pairing isn't overwhelming, but it creates favorable skirmishes by letting both heroes cover for each other's weaknesses.
