Underlord + Sniper

Why this works

Trying to close the distance on a Sniper can be frustrating when an Underlord is nearby. A well-placed Pit of Malice can hold multiple heroes in place, creating a brief window for Sniper to land several attacks from a safe distance. Layering Firestorm on top adds a significant amount of area damage, making it dangerous for enemy heroes to clump up during a push or a gank attempt. This area control gives Sniper a bit more breathing room than he's used to, forcing opponents to either commit hard or reposition entirely.

The plan is straightforward: Underlord builds to be a durable front-liner, creating space and using his spells to peel for the Sniper. However, this duo often struggles against heroes with high mobility who can bypass the frontline and get directly onto Sniper. If the enemy team can isolate and burst Sniper before Pit of Malice comes out, or if they simply have enough lockdown to deal with Underlord first, the whole setup falls apart. The success of this pairing really comes down to whether the enemy draft has the right tools to break the formation.
