Alchemist + Anti-Mage

Why this works

Putting both Alchemist and Anti-Mage in the same draft creates a difficult choice about how to distribute the map's resources. Both heroes are defined by their need to farm very quickly and hit specific item timings before they can fight effectively. They naturally want to occupy the same safe, efficient jungle camps and lane locations. While Alchemist can give an Aghanim's Scepter to accelerate a teammate, doing so for Anti-Mage means Alchemist himself is giving up a core item slot or farming time, which can put him behind.

This shared need for farm often forces the team into a passive, defensive posture for a long time. The game plan relies on both cores getting a huge amount of gold before the enemy can group up and start taking objectives. If the opponent applies early pressure and restricts access to the jungle or pushes down towers, it can be extremely difficult to find enough safe space for both Alchemist and Anti-Mage to recover. Success depends heavily on the other three heroes being able to stall and defend against aggression, which is a fragile strategy.
