Why this works

Facing an Alchemist and an Arc Warden often presents a clear objective: end the game early. The potential synergy lies in Alchemist using Greevil's Greed to farm an Aghanim's Scepter for Arc Warden, significantly improving his Tempest Double. This allows Arc Warden to receive a major item spike without spending his own gold, theoretically accelerating his path toward a powerful late-game build. The idea is to create a hero who can pressure lanes from a safe distance, equipped with an item he didn't have to farm.

The trouble is that this strategy requires an enormous amount of space and time. Both Alchemist and Arc Warden are very farm-dependent cores that don't contribute much in early fights. This puts immense pressure on their three teammates to secure the map against any coordinated aggression. If the enemy team groups up and starts taking towers, this duo often crumbles before their plan comes together. The game can be decided long before that Aghanim's Scepter is delivered, making the entire strategy a risky gamble on the opponent playing passively.
