Alchemist + Razor

Why this works

Drafting these two cores onto the same team creates a bit of a puzzle. Alchemist and Razor both want to be the raid boss, hitting a big mid-game timing and then running straight at the enemy team. This means they're often competing for the safest farm on the map to get there. Their kits don't offer a lot to each other, either. Neither hero brings the reliable, long-range initiation or hard lockdown that the other needs to guarantee a kill. Alchemist’s Unstable Concoction can set up a Static Link, but beyond that, they’re just two independent heroes trying to do a similar job.

This pairing creates a very one-dimensional game plan. If both heroes win their lanes and get the farm they need, they can absolutely roll over the enemy in the mid-game, pushing objectives as a two-man wrecking crew. The main issue is that there's no backup plan. If they fall behind or the enemy team has good disengage, this lineup often struggles. They lack the tools to defend high ground well or the catch to find pickoffs from a disadvantaged position. It all comes down to whether they can successfully execute that one mid-game push.
