How Ancient Apparition and Axe perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Ancient Apparition and Axe win 52.80% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 52,955 matches.
Surviving a Berserker's Call becomes nearly impossible when Ancient Apparition is on Axe's team. Axe's initiation groups up the enemy, creating an ideal target for a multi-hero Ice Blast. Because of the shatter debuff, anyone caught by the call and the blast is unable to heal, making them easy prey for Axe's Culling Blade once they get low. The setup is also perfect for a guaranteed Cold Feet stun on a primary target, taking them out of the fight entirely. The combined lockdown and kill-threshold pressure from these two heroes can feel completely overwhelming, turning a single mistake into a lost teamfight.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
