Ancient Apparition + Ember Spirit

Why this works

Securing kills with this pair relies on some specific timing. A well-placed Searing Chains from Ember Spirit can hold a target down long enough for Ancient Apparition to guarantee a Cold Feet stun. Dropping an Ice Vortex on the rooted enemy also makes them more vulnerable to Ember’s Flame Guard burn. This gives the lane some kill potential, but it's very focused on locking down one hero at a time. The combo is strongest during the early and mid-game ganks, before enemies get items that let them dispel the root or survive the initial burst.

Later on, their goals can diverge. Ember Spirit often wants to split-push and play for pickoffs, using his remnants to stay safe and mobile. Ancient Apparition is more focused on teamfights, positioning himself to land a multi-hero Ice Blast. While Ice Blast is always useful for preventing regeneration against Ember's poke, the heroes don't naturally play in the same part of the map. They rely on finding specific opportunities to coordinate their spells rather than having a game plan that consistently lines up, which makes their overall impact together fairly neutral.
