Ancient Apparition + Hoodwink

Why this works

Landing Hoodwink's Bushwhack provides a clean setup for Ancient Apparition's Cold Feet, creating a long disable chain in the early game. This ganking potential is the main reason to pair them. Outside of that specific interaction, however, their kits can feel redundant. Both heroes offer long-range, aimed ultimates with Sharpshooter and Ice Blast, but these abilities don't layer well together. Hitting one rarely helps the other land, and both heroes need to be positioned far from the fight to use them safely, which can create similar vulnerabilities for the team.

In practice, this means the duo can dominate a lane or secure early pickoffs but may struggle to contribute effectively together in larger teamfights. Both Ancient Apparition and Hoodwink want to stay on the edge of the fight, which can leave their team without a core presence to play around. If the enemy team has heroes that can close distance quickly, both heroes are easy targets and can't protect each other well. Their success often depends on the rest of their draft providing a strong frontline to make space for their long-range spells.
