Ancient Apparition + Nyx Assassin

Why this works

Getting found by an invisible Nyx Assassin is uncomfortable, but having an Ancient Apparition on his team makes it worse. Nyx’s initial stun from Impale can hold a target in place long enough for Cold Feet to trigger, adding a follow-up stun to the gank. Ancient Apparition can also place an Ice Vortex on the target before Nyx even breaks invisibility, which slows them down and makes all the incoming magic damage hurt more. This combination gives them a way to secure kills on mobile heroes who might otherwise escape a simple gank.

This duo looks for pickoffs across the map, especially during the mid-game. A successful Ice Blast on a target makes Nyx's job much simpler, as it removes any chance of the enemy healing through his burst damage. However, the combo relies on finding isolated heroes. Both heroes are fragile and can be turned on if the target has backup. Smart positioning and defensive items like a Force Staff or Glimmer Cape can break the stun chain and let the target get away, which keeps this pairing from being truly dominant.
