Ancient Apparition + Pangolier

Why this works

Setting up a big teamfight can feel a bit awkward with this pair. Pangolier's whole game with Rolling Thunder is about displacing enemies, knocking them around and splitting them up. Meanwhile, Ancient Apparition wants the opposite: enemies either held still for a Cold Feet stun or grouped up to maximize the impact of Ice Blast. Pangolier rolling through the enemy team often pushes targets out of the Ice Blast path or saves them from a well-placed Cold Feet, actively working against what Apparition is trying to do.

This conflict forces the two heroes to play on different timings, making their collaboration feel disjointed. If Pangolier rolls in first, he might scatter the enemy before the Ice Blast can land. If Apparition uses his ultimate first, Pangolier’s roll can feel redundant or even counter-productive, potentially knocking a low-health enemy to safety. While both heroes are strong on their own, their biggest spells don't combine well, leading to less decisive teamfight victories than you might expect from their individual potential.
