Ancient Apparition + Silencer

Why this works

Having two massive, global ultimates on one team can create a tempo problem. Both Ancient Apparition and Silencer want to use their signature spells to swing a major teamfight, but they often overlap in purpose rather than complementing each other. Global Silence is a great tool for stopping enemies from reacting, but a well-placed Ice Blast often forces that reaction on its own. The combination provides very little hard lockdown to actually set up the Ice Blast in the first place, with neither hero offering a reliable stun to hold targets in place for the shatter.

This leaves the duo feeling dependent on the rest of their team for initiation. If your draft lacks a strong frontline or a hero with a good stun, both Silencer and Ancient Apparition can struggle to find opportunities to use their ultimates effectively. The enemy team can often play spread out, forcing you to use one ultimate to secure a single kill, leaving you without the other for the ensuing fight. The result is a pairing that can feel powerful when everything aligns, but is often awkward to execute in a real game.
