Anti-Mage + Broodmother

Why this works

Facing both an Anti-Mage and a Broodmother forces opponents into a difficult map-control game. Both heroes want to live in the enemy's territory, farming their camps and shoving lanes. This can stretch defenses thin and create pickoff opportunities when heroes are forced to respond alone. The main problem is that both heroes are extremely farm-dependent and offer very little in the way of stuns or teamfight control. If one of them falls behind, they can't really help the other catch up, and the team as a whole lacks a solid backbone for grouping.

The game plan for this duo is to force the enemy to split up and then capitalize on the chaos. Broodmother can tie up heroes on one side of the map while Anti-Mage farms or pushes another lane. If the enemy team decides to group as five and push, however, this lineup often crumbles. Without strong initiation or lockdown from their supports, both Anti-Mage and Broodmother struggle in full-scale teamfights. Success hinges entirely on avoiding those engagements and winning through map pressure, which is a coin-flip strategy at best.
