Anti-Mage + Chaos Knight

Why this works

Competing for the same farm across the map often defines this pairing. Both Anti-Mage and Chaos Knight want to be the primary physical carry, requiring a lot of space and resources to hit their item timings. This creates a strain on the team, as they can't effectively create space for each other in the way a carry and a tempo-setting midlaner might. While Chaos Knight's Chaos Bolt can set up a kill for a blinking Anti-Mage, this single-target lockdown is something many other heroes can provide without demanding the same share of the map's resources.

The game plan becomes very rigid and slow. Your team has to play defensively for a long time, hoping to drag the game out until both carries are farmed. If the enemy team applies early pressure and takes control of the jungles, it's very difficult for either Anti-Mage or Chaos Knight to recover, let alone both. One successful gank can set one of them back significantly, crippling the team's entire strategy. This pairing relies heavily on the other three heroes to win their lanes and hold the line against aggression, which is a big ask.
