Anti-Mage + Faceless Void

Why this works

Having two such greedy cores can make the map feel very small. Both Anti-Mage and Faceless Void need a massive amount of farm to come online, and they thrive in the same safe parts of the map. This creates internal competition for resources, often delaying the item timings for one or even both heroes. Their teamfight abilities also don't fit together perfectly. Chronosphere provides excellent lockdown, but Anti-Mage's damage isn't always ready early on, and later in the game he'd rather be blinking on backline supports than focusing a single target caught inside the sphere.

The result is a team that often feels weak and passive for a long time. The other three heroes are stretched thin trying to create space for two carries who can't contribute much to early fights. An opponent with a strong mid-game timing can exploit this by taking objectives and starving them out. If the game does go late enough for both heroes to get fully equipped, their raw power can take over. The main problem is surviving the difficult journey to get there, as their kits do little to help each other along the way.
