Anti-Mage + Grimstroke

Why this works

Securing kills on Soulbound targets can be a bit more straightforward for Anti-Mage than for other carries. Grimstroke's ultimate holds two heroes together, which lets Anti-Mage Blink in and burn mana from both of them with his attacks. This can lead to a Mana Void hitting two enemies at once. Grimstroke’s other spells, like Ink Swell or Phantom's Embrace, also offer lockdown to help Anti-Mage stick to a target. The combination gives the lane some kill threat and provides a clear focus for Anti-Mage during teamfights, assuming he has the items to commit.

The success of this duo often depends on game tempo. Grimstroke is active early, while Anti-Mage needs a lot of time and space to farm his core items. If Grimstroke can use his spells to slow the enemy's push and create pickoffs, he can buy the time Anti-Mage needs. However, if the enemy team groups up and forces fights before Anti-Mage is ready, Grimstroke struggles to hold them off alone. The game becomes a race to see if Anti-Mage can get online before the enemy can break high ground, which makes the outcome feel very situational.
