Anti-Mage + Hoodwink

Why this works

Drafting both these heroes can lead to a team that feels pulled in two separate directions. Hoodwink thrives on creating action in the mid-game, using Bushwhack from the trees to set up kills across the map. The problem is that Anti-Mage usually isn't the one following up. He's on his own schedule, focused entirely on farming creeps and hitting his item timings to become a late-game threat. A well-placed stun from Hoodwink is great, but its value is lower when the team's primary carry is on the other side of the map and can't contribute.

This forces the rest of the team to play around Anti-Mage's absence, often fighting at a disadvantage while he split-pushes. Hoodwink can provide good long-range damage and control in these fights, but the lineup lacks the immediate burst or teamfight presence he needs to feel safe joining early. By the time Anti-Mage is ready to fight with his core items, the tempo set by Hoodwink's early-game potential might have fizzled out. The two game plans don't actively hurt each other, but they rarely line up to create a cohesive strategy.
