Anti-Mage + Kez

Why this works

Trying to find enough farm for two melee carries often leaves the map feeling small. Both Anti-Mage and Kez are hungry for resources to hit their item timings, and they tend to occupy the same spaces. Anti-Mage needs to use Blink to clear waves and jungle camps safely, but Kez also requires that protected farm to scale into the duelist he’s designed to be. Since neither hero provides much crowd control or setup for the other, they end up competing for the same job and the same income without offering much lane-to-lane support.

This creates a greedy composition that can be punished. An enemy team will often group up early to pressure towers, knowing that this duo is weak in five-man fights until much later in the game. The strategy relies on one of the two cores getting a huge lead to create the space the other one needs to catch up. If the game does go long enough for both Kez and Anti-Mage to get farmed, their combined mobility and single-target damage can be overwhelming. Reaching that point, however, is the main challenge and why the pairing can feel awkward.
