Anti-Mage + Pudge

Why this works

Creating map pressure with this pair can feel disconnected. Pudge wants to make aggressive, early plays across the map by landing a Meat Hook and using Dismember to hold a target down. This can sometimes lead to easy kills for Anti-Mage. The problem is that Anti-Mage’s own game plan is to avoid fighting and secure farm for his own timings. He doesn't offer much to Pudge's ganks early on, and Pudge’s single-target lockdown doesn't offer the kind of large-scale teamfight control that AM prefers to Blink into later.

The game's outcome often hinges on whether Pudge can create space by himself. If his roaming is successful, he can draw enemy attention and give Anti-Mage the quiet lanes he needs to accelerate. A good hook can set up a perfect Mana Void opportunity. If Pudge’s hooks miss or the enemy team is too coordinated to get picked off, the draft falls apart. The team lacks reliable stuns and teamfight presence, leaving Anti-Mage feeling isolated and forced to split-push while his team struggles to defend towers four-versus-five.
