Arc Warden + Silencer

Why this works

Setting up a kill with Global Silence seems straightforward for an Arc Warden, but it's often less effective than it appears. The silence prevents enemies from using spells to escape, which should give the Tempest Double free rein. However, enemies can still use items, reposition, or simply fight back with right-clicks inside a Magnetic Field. Arc Warden's damage isn't instant; it requires time for his double to attack, and the global silence doesn't guarantee that time. Silencer’s own damage from Arcane Curse and Glaives of Wisdom adds up, but the two heroes don't provide a hard lockdown to truly secure a kill on their own.

This pairing often pulls in different directions as the game progresses. Silencer wants to force five-on-five teamfights with his ultimate to snowball Intelligence and control the map. Arc Warden, on the other hand, excels at applying pressure across multiple lanes with his Tempest Double, farming safely and avoiding risky head-on engagements. Committing his double to a fight initiated by Silencer can be a huge risk. If the fight turns sour, Arc Warden loses his primary farming and split-pushing tool, stalling his own progression. Their ideal game plans don't always overlap, making their combined impact inconsistent.
