How Axe and Tinker perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Axe and Tinker win 48.53% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 37,386 matches.
Drafting both Axe and Tinker creates a fundamental tension in how your team wants to play the map. Axe wants to group up with a Blink Dagger and force fights, using Berserker's Call to lock down key targets for his team to burst. He needs allies nearby to capitalize on his initiations. Tinker, however, excels by playing away from his team, using Rearm to apply constant pressure across all three lanes. When Axe finds a perfect jump, Tinker is often on the opposite side of the map and can't contribute. This forces the team to either fight as four around Axe or fail to use his initiations at all.
