Batrider + Zeus

Why this works

Pulling an enemy back with Flaming Lasso creates an ideal target for Zeus to unload his spells on. The long duration of the disable gives him a stationary target, and with Sticky Napalm stacked up, the combined magic damage from both heroes can be enough to secure a kill. The basic idea is a simple one: Batrider provides the lockdown and initial damage amplification, while Zeus provides the massive magic burst from a safe distance. This should, in theory, let you pick off heroes all over the map once Batrider gets his ultimate.

The shared problem is that both heroes rely almost entirely on magic damage. This allows the enemy team to itemize very efficiently against your core strategy, as items like Glimmer Cape and Pipe of Insight will reduce the effectiveness of both heroes at once. Once enemies complete their Black King Bars, this duo's ability to control a fight and burst down a key target drops off significantly. Unless the rest of your draft provides physical damage or a different type of control, you can find both Batrider and Zeus being countered by the same set of items at the same timing.
