Beastmaster + Dazzle

Why this works

Saving the diving core with Shallow Grave is a classic play, and Dazzle seems like a good partner for an initiator like Beastmaster. The potential for big Shadow Wave heals bouncing between Beastmaster and his summons is also very real. The problem is one of positioning. Beastmaster wants to use Primal Roar from an aggressive flank or deep in the enemy's formation to isolate a key target. This often puts him well outside the safe zone where Dazzle needs to be to cast his spells without immediately dying himself. The pushback from Roar can even shove enemies further away from the help Dazzle can provide.

This leaves their game plan feeling a bit inconsistent. While they can apply solid pressure in a lane and against towers, larger teamfights become awkward. Beastmaster tries to find that perfect angle for a pickoff, while Dazzle has to hang far back, hoping he's close enough to react. An enemy team can often exploit this by either bursting Beastmaster down before Grave can be cast or by simply diving onto Dazzle and ignoring the frontline. The success of the duo hinges on perfect positioning from both players, which is a lot to ask for in a chaotic fight.
