Beastmaster + Skywrath Mage

Why this works

Facing down a Primal Roar is always scary, because you know a full Mystic Flare is about to land on your head. That single-target burst is real, and it can secure kills during the lane or on rotations. The problem is that's where the cooperation ends. Beyond that initial kill, Beastmaster and Skywrath Mage don’t build on each other's strengths. Beastmaster's kit, especially Inner Beast, is built to amplify his team's physical damage and attack speed. Skywrath Mage contributes nothing to this plan, and in return, Beastmaster's attacks don't benefit at all from an Ancient Seal on the target.

This duo often finds success picking off an isolated hero, but struggles once teams start grouping. After they commit both ultimates to kill one person, the remaining fight is awkward. The enemy team can often trade favorably or win outright because the core auras and debuffs from Beastmaster and Skywrath aren't helping each other. A simple Glimmer Cape or Force Staff can completely negate their big combo, leaving them with very few backup options to win a teamfight or secure objectives against a coordinated team.
