Beastmaster + Undying

Why this works

Having two heroes who both want to set the tempo can stretch the team's resources thin. Beastmaster and Undying both excel at forcing fights and taking map control in the early to mid-game. The problem is they occupy a similar space as initiators who want the team grouped around them. Undying looks to plant a Tombstone and create a chaotic area of control, while Beastmaster wants to isolate a key target with Primal Roar. These goals can sometimes conflict, especially if Roar shoves enemies away from the Tombstone zombies, reducing the spell's overall impact.

This pairing creates a draft that heavily relies on winning before the thirty-minute mark. Opponents know that the entire strategy revolves around mid-game teamfights and they can play accordingly, either by splitting the map or by building items to survive the initial aggression. While laning with them can feel powerful, converting that pressure into a win is inconsistent. If the enemy successfully weathers the storm created by Tombstone and Primal Roar, the draft often lacks the tools to play from behind or contest a true late-game team.
