Why this works

Picking these two heroes together is a bet on a specific kind of game. The plan is straightforward: Bounty Hunter uses Track to give vision and set up a target, then Doom comes in to secure the kill with his ultimate. When it works, your team gets an easy kill and a huge influx of gold. The issue is that both heroes are very single-target focused. If the enemy team decides to group up early or has strong wave clear, this pickoff strategy can stall out, leaving your team without the tools to handle a big five-man push or defend high ground.

Early on, the duo can create a lot of pressure by hunting for isolated heroes, and a successful gank with both ultimates can build a significant gold lead. The risk comes if those attempts fail. Both Bounty Hunter and Doom need items to stay relevant, and if they fall behind, their impact drops off sharply. Later in the game, opponents will play safer and stick together, making it much harder to find those solo pickoffs. The game then depends on whether your team’s early lead is big enough to win fights without a lot of area-of-effect control or damage.
