Bounty Hunter + Shadow Shaman

Why this works

Catching an enemy out of position is the whole plan here. Bounty Hunter can scout for isolated targets with Shadow Walk, and the slow from Jinada creates an easy opening for his partner. That small window is all Shadow Shaman needs to get in range and start his disable chain, usually Hex into Shackles. Once the target is locked down, they aren't going anywhere. Applying Track during the gank ensures the victim can't juke into the fog and also accelerates Shadow Shaman’s item timings with the extra gold from the kill, letting him get something like a Blink Dagger sooner.

This duo thrives on creating map pressure and securing pickoffs before big five-on-five fights break out. The goal is to build a lead by punishing anyone farming alone. The strategy is less effective when facing enemies that group up early, as both Bounty Hunter and Shadow Shaman are fragile and can be turned on. Good defensive warding from the other team can also spot the ganks before they happen. This forces the pair to play more cautiously, which is why their shared advantage often feels conditional on how the enemy responds.
