Bristleback + Razor

Why this works

Drafting both Bristleback and Razor together means committing to a very direct game plan. Both heroes want to run at the enemy and stay in the fight for as long as possible. Their abilities can have some synergy on paper; stacking the armor reduction from Viscous Nasal Goo and Eye of the Storm makes a single target incredibly soft. The issue is that both heroes function as durable, sustained-damage cores who lack the hard lockdown needed to hold enemies in place. This redundancy means your team might be missing crucial tools like burst magic damage or reliable stuns, making the entire draft predictable and one-dimensional.

This lineup looks to group early and force objectives by simply running at them. If the enemy team can’t handle two tanky frontliners, it works. The strategy falls apart, however, against teams with good kiting, saves, or burst damage. A target being drained by Razor's Static Link can often walk away, and enemies can choose to ignore Bristleback to avoid feeding him Quill Spray charges from his back. Without a third hero bringing strong control, Bristleback and Razor can find themselves unable to force the extended brawls where they truly shine, leaving them to chase targets they can't quite kill.
