Broodmother + Invoker

Why this works

Applying Alacrity to Broodmother herself provides a significant boost to her tower-pushing and solo-killing speed. However, this single interaction often isn't enough to overcome their different game plans. Broodmother wants to create a static zone of control, forcing enemies to react to her spider army in one lane. An Invoker, particularly a Quas-Wex build, prefers to be mobile, roaming the map to find ganks with spells like Cold Snap and Tornado. While a Sun Strike can always help secure a kill, their primary objectives tend to pull them toward opposite sides of the map, limiting their direct cooperation.

Early on, Broodmother is focused on dominating her lane and is largely self-sufficient, meaning Invoker's ganking potential is better used elsewhere. In the mid-game, Broodmother's strength lies in split-pushing, which inherently separates her from the team. This can leave Invoker in a difficult position, holding teamfight spells like Deafening Blast or Ice Wall while his team is playing a member down. The pairing forces one of the two heroes to play against their natural tempo, rather than having their strategies complement each other from the start.
