Centaur Warrunner + Magnus

Why this works

Teamfights with this pairing can feel a bit redundant. Both Centaur Warrunner and Magnus want to be the primary initiator, often with a Blink Dagger into their big area-of-effect stuns. Chaining Reverse Polarity into Hoof Stomp is certainly a lot of lockdown, but it's often more than needed for a single spot. The bigger issue is that Magnus's Empower isn't used to its full potential. Centaur gets some benefit to his farming speed, but he's not a right-clicking core. He's a tank who does most of his work with spells, so you'd much rather see that cleave and bonus damage on a hero built to carry the game.

Because they fill similar roles, the draft can feel a little awkward. You have two heroes who want similar farm priority and timings to get their Blink Daggers online. While Centaur's Stampede can help set up a great initiation for Magnus, the team often ends up with a surplus of control but not enough sustained damage to follow through. The duo relies heavily on the other three heroes to provide all the cleanup power, whereas a different support or offlaner might have offered a more balanced contribution.
