Clinkz + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Putting these two heroes on the same team means you're committing heavily to single-target physical burst. Both Clinkz and Phantom Assassin excel at this, but it makes the enemy's item choices straightforward. A few key armor items can make their cores durable against your two primary damage dealers. This pairing also lacks lockdown. They're two assassins trying to do the same job in parallel, rather than one setting up the other for a guaranteed kill. Their skillsets don't combine in a way that creates something more than the sum of their parts.

This lineup needs to get ahead early and stay there. If Clinkz and Phantom Assassin can snowball off of pickoffs, they can overwhelm the map before enemies have a chance to respond with items. Should the game stall out or your team fall behind, the plan falters. Without stuns, a simple Ghost Scepter or Force Staff is often enough to save a target. Lacking strong area damage or teamfight control also makes it incredibly hard to siege high ground or defend your own base against a coordinated push.
