How Crystal Maiden and Medusa perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Crystal Maiden and Medusa win 51.39% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 19,091 matches.
Giving Medusa the whole map to farm much earlier is the game plan. The constant mana from Crystal Maiden's Arcane Aura solves Medusa's biggest weakness. It lets her keep Mana Shield active from the laning stage, making her surprisingly hard to gank or bully out. She can also spam Mystic Snake to control the lane and later use Split Shot to clear waves and jungle camps without ever returning to base. This extra gold and experience lets Medusa come online far sooner. In teamfights, Crystal Maiden’s slows and root then provide easy setup for Stone Gaze, securing kills.
