Dark Willow + Lifestealer

Why this works

Setting up kills for Lifestealer can feel a bit redundant. While Dark Willow offers strong control with Bramble Maze and Cursed Crown, Lifestealer already has his own tools for sticking to targets with Open Wounds. He doesn’t rely on her lockdown the way other carries might. Similarly, Rage makes him immune to magic, so he gains no benefit from defensive spells she might cast. Dark Willow and Lifestealer are both effective heroes, but their abilities function in parallel rather than building on one another to create a more powerful effect.

This leads to a game where both heroes are mostly self-sufficient. Lifestealer will focus on his own farm and timings, using Infest to join fights or escape, while Dark Willow roams to make plays with her burst damage and control. They can certainly get kills when they find themselves in the same lane or fight, as any disable is useful for a carry. However, the duo doesn't naturally create pressure or accelerate the game's pace. Their plans are often separate, resulting in a game that depends more on their individual performances than on their teamwork.
