Dark Willow + Storm Spirit

Why this works

Pulling an enemy with Electric Vortex often creates a problem. Storm Spirit wants to hold a target in place for his own damage, but the pull can drag that hero right out of Dark Willow's Bramble Maze. Following up the pull with Cursed Crown is also awkward; its delay gives the enemy a window to react before the stun lands, disrupting the quick kill Storm needs. Instead of locking a target down together, their spells frequently get in each other's way, with the disable from one hero making it harder for the other to land theirs correctly.

This clash in ability timing extends to their broader game plan. Storm Spirit plays like an assassin, looking for isolated targets to pick off with his mobility. Dark Willow excels at controlling larger areas and disrupting multiple heroes at once, either with her Brambles or a big Terrorize ultimate. This means Storm often dives a backline target alone without the instant, focused lockdown he needs, while Willow is busy managing a different part of the fight. They rarely focus their efforts on the same goal, leaving both less effective.
