Dark Willow + Void Spirit

Why this works

Chaining control with this pair can feel a little clumsy. The idea is that Dark Willow sets up kills for Void Spirit, but the timing is often awkward. Cursed Crown has a delay, and an active Void Spirit is already looking to position for his own Aether Remnant. He doesn't necessarily want to wait around for the stun to finally pop. Both heroes are trying to do a similar thing—burst down one target—but their abilities don't layer cleanly. They end up feeling a bit redundant, each offering magic damage and some control without one truly enabling the other.

This means they often end up playing their own games across the map. Void Spirit will look for solo pickoffs, zipping between lanes with Astral Step. Dark Willow will try to establish vision and find her own setups with Bramble Maze or react to fights with Terrorize. They might occasionally focus the same hero and get a kill, but it feels more like two heroes attacking the same target than a coordinated strike. Neither provides the hard initiation or sustained damage that the other might want from a partner, making the duo feel functional but not truly synergistic.
