Dawnbreaker + Medusa

Why this works

Farming a risky lane as Medusa feels much safer when a Dawnbreaker is on the team. The constant threat of a Solar Guardian arrival can deter enemies from committing to a gank. If they do try to jump on Medusa, Dawnbreaker can turn the fight from anywhere on the map, creating a two-front engagement that can punish over-aggression. This global presence creates a safety net, potentially allowing Medusa to farm more aggressively and accelerate her item progression without needing the whole team to sit behind her.

This interaction, however, depends entirely on timing and execution. An enemy team with good coordination can try to burst Medusa before the ultimate lands, or use stuns to cancel the ability entirely. The game plan often becomes a race: enemies try to pick off Medusa and snowball before she comes online, while your team uses Dawnbreaker's global to protect her farm and counter-initiate. The success or failure of these specific mid-game gank attempts often decides which team gets control of the map.
