Dawnbreaker + Monkey King

Why this works

Combining Wukong's Command with a Solar Guardian landing sounds like a guaranteed fight, but the reality is much less clean. Both ultimates are telegraphed, delayed area-of-effect spells that are easy to walk away from. Trying to stack them on the same spot is often redundant; if an enemy is disabled long enough for one to hit, they probably would have died anyway. The combined setup time gives the enemy team more than enough warning to disengage or interrupt one of the channels, making the whole plan fall apart before it even gets going.

Throughout a match, this forces Monkey King and Dawnbreaker into conflicting playstyles. Monkey King wants to play from the trees, looking for an isolated hero to trap. Dawnbreaker, however, needs allies on the ground to make her Solar Guardian effective, so she's looking to join fights that are already happening. This means they are often pulling in opposite directions. The dream combo requires a perfect setup, but more often one hero commits their ultimate and the other isn't in the right place to follow up, leading to an even trade instead of a decisive victory.
