Why this works

Playing for opposite sides of the map often defines this pairing. Tinker needs to stay away from the action, constantly pushing lanes and farming with Rearm to build his items. Dawnbreaker thrives by grouping with her team and initiating fights. Her ultimate, Solar Guardian, is strongest when saving an ally or joining a committed teamfight, but Tinker's entire goal is to never be in a position where he needs that kind of help. Their core objectives rarely overlap, leaving them feeling disconnected from one another.

As a result, the game usually splits into two separate fronts. Dawnbreaker and her other allies have to create pressure and take objectives shorthanded, while Tinker farms and applies pressure elsewhere. This puts a lot of strain on the rest of the team to win engagements with a numbers disadvantage. The success of this lineup depends on whether Dawnbreaker’s team can make enough happen with the space Tinker provides before the enemy can group up and overwhelm them. It’s a race against the clock for both sides.
