Dazzle + Doom

Why this works

Facing a Doom who suddenly gets Shallow Graved can be frustrating, as he gets to keep attacking while being immune to death. However, this combo often creates awkward positioning. Dazzle wants his team clumped up to get value from Shadow Wave heals, but Doom needs to dive into the enemy backline to use his ultimate on a high-value target. This forces Dazzle to either abandon the rest of his team or follow Doom into a very dangerous position. Saving Doom often means putting himself at extreme risk of being the next target, usually with his most important spell on cooldown.

In practice, this duo's big play is very predictable. An enemy team will expect the Shallow Grave on Doom and can plan around it. They might burst Doom to force the save, then immediately disengage from him and turn on Dazzle or another squishy hero. Both heroes are also putting their longest cooldowns into a single interaction—Doom on the initiation, Dazzle on the save. If that single play doesn't win the fight outright, your team is left with fewer tools to deal with the enemy's broader plan, which can make closing out teamfights feel like a struggle.
