Dazzle + Invoker

Why this works

Putting Dazzle and Invoker in the same draft is a bet on defensive utility. The plan revolves around Dazzle’s ability to keep a high-impact, and often focused, Invoker alive. Surviving a gank with Shallow Grave gives Invoker the window he needs to turn a fight with his own spells, punishing enemies who overcommit to a kill. Dazzle's slows can offer a little help for setting up combos like Sun Strike, but the primary value is that Grave lets a fragile damage dealer play more aggressively and survive mistakes.

This partnership is entirely reactive and can be inconsistent. Its success hinges on Dazzle's positioning and whether he can get his save off before Invoker is silenced or stunned. A team with strong initiation can often pick off one or both heroes before they can respond. You are not winning lanes or taking over the map because you have this duo; you're hoping Dazzle can make a key save in a mid-game teamfight. It's a conditional synergy that doesn't fundamentally change how either hero wants to play.
