Dazzle + Mars

Why this works

Losing control of the map's tempo is a common outcome for this duo because their kits pull in opposite directions. Mars wants to trap key targets in Arena of Blood for a swift, decisive kill. Dazzle, on the other hand, thrives in drawn-out brawls, using Shallow Grave to deny that initial burst and extend the fight. When Mars creates the perfect setup for a pickoff, Dazzle’s main contribution is to undo the very premise of a quick kill, leading to awkward and ineffective engagements.

In practice, a core saved by Shallow Grave is often still stuck inside the Arena and dies moments later anyway, as there is no escape. Opponents can confidently focus targets inside the ring, knowing Dazzle can't enable a reset or disengage. The burden then falls on the rest of the team to provide enough immediate damage to secure kills during Arena's duration, because Mars and Dazzle themselves don't naturally create that kind of burst window together.
