Death Prophet + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Taking objectives or controlling teamfights can feel a bit awkward with this duo. Death Prophet wants to activate Exorcism and run at the enemy team, while Witch Doctor needs to plant his feet to channel Death Ward. This creates a positional conflict; either Death Prophet runs too far ahead for the Ward to cover her, or Witch Doctor has to channel from a dangerously forward position to stay relevant. While their other spells offer decent damage, they lack the kind of reliable, long-duration lockdown that would let both of these powerful ultimates shine at the same time.

Throughout the game, this tension forces the team to choose who they're playing around. In a siege, Death Prophet wants to push under the tower, but the rest of her team might need to hang back to protect the channeling Witch Doctor. A smart enemy team can exploit this by disengaging from one threat to isolate and burst the other. It puts a lot of pressure on landing a perfect Cask or finding a Voodoo Restoration target to keep everyone alive, as the heroes themselves don't naturally cover each other's weaknesses.
