Disruptor + Tusk

Why this works

Drafting both Tusk and Disruptor means you're betting the entire game on aggressive pickoffs. The core issue is that their control spells can feel redundant. Tusk's Ice Shards and Disruptor's Kinetic Field both serve the purpose of trapping an enemy, and using them together can be awkward. While a Snowball can set up a perfect Static Storm, it’s just as likely that a poorly timed Shard wall blocks your team’s follow-up or makes it difficult for Disruptor to land his own spells. The combination often requires more coordination than it's worth compared to simpler pairings.

In practice, your ganks become very all-or-nothing. You might delete one hero if everything lands correctly, but if the target survives the initial burst, you have little else. Both heroes commit their main spells for the same goal. As the game progresses, opponents can counter this by grouping up or building defensive items. A team with Tusk and Disruptor often finds itself wishing one of them was a different kind of hero—one with a save, more sustained damage, or better high-ground defense to make the draft feel less one-dimensional.
