Doom + Nyx Assassin

Why this works

Securing a single kill is rarely the problem for this pair. Nyx Assassin provides excellent setup with Impale or scouting from Vendetta, creating a perfect window for Doom to cast his ultimate. The combined lockdown and break means almost any hero caught out will be removed from the fight. The difficulty comes afterward. Both heroes lack significant wave clear, making it hard to convert a successful gank into taking a tower or gaining map control. Their single-target nature leaves them vulnerable if the enemy team simply groups up and pushes as five.

Successful games rely on chaining these pickoffs into objectives before the enemy can react. Doom and Nyx will look for isolated heroes farming or rotating, hoping to build a lead big enough to end the game early. The opposing team will try to force the issue by staying together, placing defensive vision, and pressuring lanes. This forces the duo into a defensive posture where they are less effective, often leading to a stalemate until one team makes a mistake in a larger teamfight.
