Doom + Silencer

Why this works

Facing a double-silence initiation can feel oppressive. The plan is to lock down the enemy team with Global Silence, letting Doom walk in and land his own ultimate on the most important target without resistance. This creates a window where one enemy is totally disabled and their teammates can't use spells to help. On paper, it’s a clean way to start a fight and secure a kill. The issue is that both ultimates serve a similar purpose, and using them together can be redundant when a different kind of disable might be more useful.

In practice, the timing is awkward. If Silencer uses Global Silence first, smart opponents will simply back away, forcing Doom to chase and miss his window. If Doom initiates first, the enemy team can often react with items to save their ally before the Global comes out. While the combo can delete a hero from a fight when it lines up, it's a predictable strategy that enemies can prepare for. The two heroes often end up trying to control the same moment, leading to clumsy executions where neither gets full value from their long cooldown.
