Doom + Spirit Breaker

Why this works

Setting up a gank with Charge of Darkness can give Doom a clear path to land his ultimate on a key enemy. This provides a very straightforward way to initiate a pickoff. The issue is that both heroes are primarily focused on locking down a single person. If Spirit Breaker's charge is interrupted or the enemy team has multiple heroes that need to be controlled at once, the whole plan can fall apart quickly. They also lack significant area-of-effect damage, making them less effective at clearing creep waves or fighting into grouped-up enemies.

This pairing can find kills on isolated targets early, but the strategy is predictable and good warding can shut it down. Later in teamfights, Doom and Spirit Breaker might succeed in deleting one hero, but they can struggle against lineups with strong saves or multiple dangerous cores. They offer very similar tools, which often feels redundant rather than complementary. If their initial target survives the gank, both heroes can have limited impact on the rest of the fight.
