How Doom and Windranger perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Doom and Windranger win 46.37% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 41,266 matches.
Setting up a kill with this pair often feels clumsy. Doom's ultimate is a fantastic tool for disabling a hero's spells, but it provides no stun or root to hold them in place. This is a fundamental problem for Windranger, who needs a target to be locked down to land a good Shackleshot or guarantee her full Focus Fire duration. The Doomed enemy can often walk into fog or break line of sight, completely wasting Windranger’s damage potential. They both want to isolate and eliminate a single core, but without any hard lockdown from Doom, their single-target approaches don't combine effectively, leading to uncoordinated ganks.
