Drow Ranger + Tinker

Why this works

Farming the whole map becomes a problem when both of your cores want to be everywhere at once. Tinker naturally pushes out multiple lanes to accelerate his farm, which is the same safe space a Drow Ranger needs to stay alive and get her own items. This creates a constant tension over resources. Their playstyles also clash directly. Drow's Marksmanship provides a massive damage boost to ranged allies who are near her, encouraging the team to group up and push. Tinker’s entire game plan, however, revolves around split-pushing and never being with the team.

This conflict of interest creates awkward mid-game scenarios. The Drow Ranger's team will want to gather to take a tower or secure Roshan, but they are often forced to do so as four while Tinker is on the other side of the map. A coordinated opponent can exploit this, forcing a fight on the main group and overwhelming them before Tinker can react or join. This leaves the Drow side feeling like they're always playing a hero down in the fights that matter, unable to convert her objective-taking power into actual map control.
