Earth Spirit + Lina

Why this works

Setting up Lina's Light Strike Array with an Earth Spirit stun can be tricky. While a Rolling Boulder provides a moment for Lina to aim, it's very brief and requires perfect follow-up. The bigger issue comes from Boulder Smash; a common mistake is for Earth Spirit to kick the target *away* from Lina or out of her stun's radius, effectively saving the enemy instead of securing the kill. The abilities are fast and displace enemies, which can easily work against a combo that requires a target to be held in a specific spot for a moment.

This makes their kill attempts unreliable from the laning stage onwards. A successful gank can certainly get Lina ahead, but a failed one is punishing, as both heroes have used their key spells for no reward. In larger teamfights, this inconsistency is even more of a liability. Trying to coordinate a pick-off on a key target can fall apart if the timing is slightly off, leaving Lina out of position and Earth Spirit deep in the fight. The combo requires a level of coordination that often isn't there, making the outcome of any engagement a toss-up.
