How Earth Spirit and Nyx Assassin perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Earth Spirit and Nyx Assassin win 52.00% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 10,615 matches.
Getting more control over the enemy jungle can open up better farm for your own cores. This duo helps with that through coordinated ganks, especially in the mid-game. Earth Spirit can initiate from long range with his Roll, and a good Boulder Smash can push an enemy right into Nyx Assassin's path. With Nyx arriving from Vendetta, it provides a solid chain of stuns and burst damage on a single target. The main reason this isn't a stronger pairing is that both heroes rely on catching people out of position. If the enemy team groups up early, it becomes much harder for either Earth Spirit or Nyx to find a good opening.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
