Earth Spirit + Pudge

Why this works

Landing an easy Meat Hook becomes the whole game plan. Earth Spirit provides the perfect setup with either a Rolling Boulder stun or a Boulder Smash to kick an unsuspecting target directly into Pudge's range. The combined lockdown from their kits, especially when Pudge follows up with Dismember, can delete an enemy hero from the map before a fight even begins. This combo is all about isolating a single opponent and securing a quick kill, which can be very effective at creating early map pressure and controlling the tempo.

The trade-off is that both heroes invest heavily into this single-target ganking style. If Pudge and Earth Spirit fail to secure kills, they fall behind quickly since neither hero farms particularly well. Their impact also fades if the enemy team starts moving as a five-man unit, as their combo is much less effective against a coordinated group. The success of this duo often hinges entirely on executing those early pickoffs. If they can't build a lead from that, they tend to offer less in big teamfights than other pairings might.
